Hawaiian Koa

My koa timber comes from the Big Island of Hawaii. The colour is medium-brown, with lighter and darker streaks, and with iridescent optics when viewed from different angles. It has a medium hardness and is a bit lighter in weight. Since it has an open-pore grain structure, requires a grain filler/stain prior to top coats. Koa is the most popular wood I offer.

Weight range: 16-17lbs.
