Wood Finishes
Hand Rubbed Finish
Once the finish has cured for three days, I wet sand with #600 sandpaper and then burnish with 0000 steel wool. A final rub with a terrycloth towel gives a satin sheen to the finish. I also usually apply a wax top coat such as 'The Original Bee's Wax Furniture Polish' . The finish I offer provides a professional, hard, optically clear and pore-filled finish that will rival any other harp finish out there today. Open-pore woods such as koa, oak and walnut require a grain filler, that also acts as a bit of a stain. These are hard finishes, and suitable for the hard-wearing that harps often get.
