Crating, Shipping & Delivery

Gill
and Belen packing a harp for shipment
The harp will be professionally
packed in a padded, double cardboard box. If the harp ever needed to be
returned to Fisher Harps for repair or maintenance, this container is
the best way to insure it transports safely. The harp will be insured for it's full
replacement value, and in the unlikely event of damage to the harp
during shipping, please make a claim with the freight company. For
shipment within North America, FedEx Ground is my preferred carrier.
The approximate FedEx Ground freight
charges for Canada and the USA (shown below) are an estimation from
Winnipeg to many urban areas in North America readily accessible to
trucking lines. Please inquire about a more exact quote for your
particular situation, as 'extended area surcharges' are possible to
remote & rural areas. This quote will be placed on your invoice, so
you'll know what the charges are in advance.
The current shipping
charges shown below include freight and insurance. U.S. Customs
brokerage fees for U.S.A. customers are also included, but not U.S. state taxes that may
be required from your home jurisdiction. International air cargo
is possible to
locations overseas, and the customer is responsible for all taxes,
duties, terminal fees and customs broker's commissions once the harp
arrives on your shore.
Special note for Irish Customers:
The latest quote to clear your harp through Irish Customs is about
EUR1,100, which includes 21% VAT, 3.2% duty, customs brokerage and
handling fees.
